The Huafa Community, located in Nanping Town, Xiangzhou District, is a typical densely populated community in Zhuhai, with residents from all over the country and resident population of about 50,000. Li Xi went to the residential area, had in-depth communication with the epidemic prevention personnel and volunteers, Party members and cadres, management personnel and police officers of the district etc., and carefully inspected the implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures such as the prevention & control record, body temperature measurement, cleaning & disinfection, science popularization and material support. Zhuhai Livzon Diagnostics Inc., located in Xiangzhou District, is specializing in development and production of diagnostic kits. The diagnostic kit for antibody to coronavirus developed by the company now is ready for being put into full production. Mr. Li Xi visited the laboratory, production workshop and the warehouse to learn in detail the product performance and improvement of production capacity. He stressed that in the critical stage of epidemic prevention and control, enterprises shall enhance the overall consciousness, actively fulfill their social responsibilities, make efforts to expand production, thus to meet the demand for screening and detection of the front line of prevention and control. Besides that, the enterprises shall strive to develop more accurate, effective diagnostic products that is convenient to operate, providing strong technical support for “early detection, early reporting, early isolation, and early treatment”.
Gree Electric Appliances Inc. of Zhuhai is a large manufacturing enterprise that is specializing in production of electrical equipment such as air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines, and was listed in Fortune Global 500 last year. It has organized work resumption in an orderly and effective manner on the basis of effectively implementing employee education, detection & screening, and plant disinfection. On February 10, the first day of work resumption, the number of staff returning to work was more than 11,000, and the number of staff returning to work and the production capacity will be further increased in the following period. During the Spring Festival, Gree also organized and produced a batch of epidemic preventive supplies, including infrared thermometers. Li Xi learned in detail the prevention & control measures taken by the company in terms of accession inspection, employee protection, logistics support etc., and listened to the introduction of its plan and progress of work resumption. He encouraged the leaders and staff of the company to strengthen the confidence in resolving this difficulty, resume production as soon as possible under the premise of implementing epidemic prevention & control carefully, and insist on self-reliance and independent innovation, thus to promote the continuous development of business. Li Xi also visited the Zhuhai-Macao Arrival Lobby of Zhuhai Highway Port of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge for investigation of port clearance management and the joint epidemic prevention and control of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau. He stressed that it is necessary to strictly execut port inspection and quarantine, strengthen the communication and connection with Hong Kong and Macao, and make efforts to serve the policy of “one country, two systems”, thus to work together with Hong Kong and Macao to effectively prevent and control the epidemic.
Li Xi emphasized that it is necessary to thoroughly implement the spirit of the important speech and important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping for epidemic prevention and control, and insists on addressing both implementation of epidemic prevention and control in a carful, detailed manner, and effective promotion of work resumption. Firstly, it is necessary to effectively cope with rush of people returning to Guangdong, formulate the peak shifting work resumption plan, peak shifting returning plan and staggered rush hour plan according to local conditions, and strengthen transportation quarantine, thus to effectively reduce the risk of outbreak from importation and effectively prevent mobile infection sources.
